About CFE

Christmas for Everyone, a program that provides gifts to underserved children from birth up to 18 years of age, began in 2002 as a partnership between the Red Cross and churches in the Greater Lafayette area to serve those with financial hardship during the Christmas season. To date, CFE has served nearly 30,000 children and their families.

Members of local churches purchase gifts for each registered child (up to a certain monetary amount). Local churches distribute the gifts (along with wrapping supplies or other items at their discretion) on a designated Saturday each December.

If you would like to participate in Christmas for Everyone by donating additional toys and gifts for children registered in the program, please bring new, unopened, unwrapped toys and gifts to one of the gift drop-off locations listed below.

Churches

Churches commit to sponsoring a set number of children each year. After families register their children for the program, participating churches receive gift ideas for each child their congregation will support. Congregation members purchase gifts for the child(ren) they are sponsoring. Participating churches then host an event where they distribute gifts to those families they sponsored. Families also have the opportunity to choose additional “bonus” gifts for their children. If you are interested in becoming a participating church, please contact us.
